A volcano located about 940 km from Tokyo, the capital of Japan, was slowly igniting for the past few weeks. Which burst on 28 June 2020. Due to this, lava is flowing rapidly towards the northeast of the volcano. Smoke is going up to a height of 12,467 feet in the sky. This volcano has grown 11 times in the last 6-7 years.
Japan’s Coast Guard has also confirmed that very fast lava is flowing from Nishino-Shima. Nishino-Sheema has been active since last year i.e. 6th December 2019. But on 25 June this year, there was a huge explosion. It has been exploding continuously since then.
Nishino-Shima was a small green island 46 years ago in 1974. There was no explosion in it for 10 thousand years. The island was then the upper part of a volcano that looked out of the sea.
Nishino-Shima is about 9800 feet high inside the sea. The diameter of its base is about 30 kilometers. From 1974 it began to explode. But more explosions started since 2013. Since then, the island has risen 82 feet above the sea. In the last 6 years, it has increased its size by 11 times. Now its size has spread over 3 square kilometers.
Spinner dolphins, small winged pilot whales, and humpback whales were visible petties before the eruption of volcanoes around the island. But these sea creatures have moved away from the island in the last 6-7 years. Now there are no creatures around it.
The Nishino-Sheema volcano has shed so much lava in the last 6-7 years that an island of 3 square kilometers has been formed here. The island is made of cold lava stones. It is also called Nijima Island or Rosario Island. Which currently remains the center of scientific study.
The height of the volcano has increased to 520 feet this year. Geologists are extremely concerned about their increasing size and explosion. The question is constantly arising in his mind that the volcano which had not erupted for ten thousand years before 1974. Why has it become so active in the last 6-7 years?
